Freightliner CL112

The Freightliner Columbia is the perfect truck for distribution and construction work. Able to work efficiently and reliably with whatever your work day throws at it, the Columbia is a favourite with both drivers and owners.  

The CL112 has been designed to maximise your payloads and therefore your profits. A surprisingly low tare weight is achieved with its high strength aluminium cabins, and the set back front axle allows for uncompromised weight distribution. The 16 degree slopped bonnet means improved aerodynamics and exceptional visibility in tight areas. The Columbia will give you great fuel economy and overall lower costs per kilometre, as well as ease of maintenance for shorter down times.

Choose either the Construction configuration (available as 6x4, 8x4 or 10x4) or Distribution configuration (available as 4x2 or 6x4). For construction, there's virtually no load the Columbia can't take care of with a GCM of up to 40,000kg.

CL112 Power

The Columbia CL112 is hugely adaptable and can be fine-tuned to meet your needs, so whatever your job, you can be assured you can have the power to match.

  • Powered by the latest generation Cummins ISLe5, the 8.9 litre engine delivers up to 400 hp and 1,254 lb-ft of torque
  • Can be teamed with either an Eaton manual or Allison automatic transmissions (which means it can be rated to 40,000 kg GCM).
  • Has a high power to weight ratio, compression brake up to 250 bhp and the rear engine ‘Power Take Off,’ giving the truck a lot of grunt behind it
  • Maximum cooling achieved with a massive 1,300 square inch ‘engine mounted’ radiator
  • Horton on/off DriveMaster fan clutch

The Columbia CL112 provides drivers with a comfortable and safe environment. Enjoy one of the smoothest rides available with the AirLiner™ Rear suspension which reduces vibration and is also lightweight and maintenance-free. For the more demanding jobs, the TuftTrac™ spring suspension from Freightliner is also available.

When faced with a tight situation on a building site, the Columbia CL112 is a breeze to manoeuver with it's generous wheel cut.

Cabins include a Day Cab and the 34” Mid-Roof Sleeper, both of which are expertly designed to make the most of the space and provide you with maximum comfort.
