The Fuso Heavy truck provides a level of reliability, performance and technology that has been impressing drivers and fleet operators for some time. This range of truck offers Japanese strength and reliability, combined with European performance. The model selection suits most intra-state, metro and regional applications.

The Heavy range from Mitsubishi Fuso Australia is available as a 4x2, 6x4 and 8x4. 

The 6x4 rigid truck has a long wheelbase spec with rear air suspension specially designed for bulk metro and tough regional distribution. It has a medium length wheelbase with a limited slip diff option suited to tipper applications.

A favorite in construction, mining and heavy delivery, the Fuso’s famous 8x4 model has a 5.87m wheelbase, load sharing front suspension and the option of a Live Drive PTO. Comfort has been improved due to a new air suspended cab and ISRI air suspended driver’s seat 

A 12 litre, in-line 6 cylinder engine provides power ratings from 360Hp to 455Hp, with impressive torque ranging from 1850Nm to 2200Nm.

  • great vision to the curb with a rear quarter window that opens and a transom window (located in the passenger door)
  • Driver's airbag and seat belt pre-tensioners

Fuso Heavy Duty Truck - FP interior

The Fuso Heavy is powered by a 12 litre, in-line 6 cylinder engine with ratings from 360Hp to 455Hp, with impressive torque ranging from 1850Nm to 2200Nm. To meet strict Euro 5 emission standards a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) System has been included. A 12-speed Automated Manual Transmission comes standard with most Fuso Heavy Trucks. It features a Crawler Mode for maneuvering in tight spaces, a Skip Shift Function for quick take offs from the traffic lights and a transmission ECO Mode to minimise fuel usage.

To cater to vocational and other specialist applications, the Eaton 13 Speed is available in the 6x4 FV51 tipper model and the Allison 4000 series Automatic is available in FS 8x4 model. The range includes a 4x2 400 Hp prime mover model perfect for light loads in metro distribution and a 6x4 455 Hp prime mover for heavier loads in intra-state and metro distribution.
